Since testing the Emerald Blast abrasive 2 years ago, we use this for 90% of our heavy industrial applications. Generally, it cuts like garnet at a price point similar to coal slag. We are using approximately half of the grit that we budgeted for the job and that is consistent with our use of the Emerald Blast® thus far.

Emerald Blast® has consistently provided outstanding surface cleanliness, an excellent anchor profile, and overall performance that makes a noticeable difference in the field. From a production standpoint, it performs extremely well. From a quality standpoint, it helps achieve the results coating inspectors and clients expect under stringent specifications.

I've been using MineralTech for years and have always had the best of service. No matter what day or time of day they answer the phone and always seem to find a way to get me my material. I work with Robert Barnes and Joe King mostly but everyone I've dealt with is a pleasure to work with. FYI, the Emerald Blast® is the best media around for the price.

Independent Research. Measurable Performance.

Abrasive selection can directly impact coating adhesion, corrosion resistance, and long-term asset performance. Independent AMPP research evaluating multiple abrasive types found Emerald Blast® among the strongest performers tested for coating adhesion and corrosion resistance.
